Arnell Ignacio filed an extortion complaint against 3 policemen PO3 Jose Levy Llagas, PO3 Neil Pono and PO1 Joel Lasala before the office of the Philippine National Police-Highway Patrol Group (PNP-HPG) on Friday, April 1.
According to Arnel, the incident happened last March 26 when the 3 officers, who are members of the PNP-HPG, followed him while he was driving his Porsche and asked him to shell out P50,000 otherwise they will impound his luxury car.
The comedian actor-host admitted he gave the money to avoid discussion and even further inconveniences.
Following the complaint, Chief Supt. Leonardo Espina of PNP-HPG ordered that the 3 policemen be disarmed.
Espina said the 3 suspects have been relieved of their duties and are under investigation.
Criminal and administration charges may be filed against them, he said.
