GMA Films and Viva Entertainment revealed two movie posters of highly-anticipated Yam Laranas horror movie "Patient X".


Patient X is a horror movie which stars Richard Gutierrez and Heart Evangelista.

GMA-7 is now running a teaser trailer of the upcoming romantic movie that will reunite ex-couple Richard Gutierrez and Anne Curtis.

Based on the sentimental song by Michael Murphy, "Maybe This Time" is a joint project of GMA Films and Viva Entertainment

Maybe This Time will be directed by Maryo J. delos Reyes.

“One True Love” Earns P10 Million on Its Opening Day

GMA Films and Regal Entertainment reportedly announced that the movie “One True Love” starring Marian Rivera, Dingdong Dantes, and Iza Calzado earned 10 million pesos in gross sales on its opening day.

One True Love was given a "B" grade by the Cinema Evaluation Board and rated PG-13 by the Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB).

It will also be sh0wn in Guam starting November 21 up to December 5. There will also be screenings in Los Angeles, San Francisco, New York, Las Vegas, and Hawaii.

I.T.A.L.Y.’s First Week Gross Reaches to Php13.2 Million

Contrary to rumors that the romantic comedy I.T.A.L.Y. earned P40 million on its first day (read article here), Box Office Mojo has released the actual 1st week gross of the GMA Films movie.

According to the data gathered by the American website, I.T.A.L.Y. starring Jolina Magdangal Dennis Trillo, Eugene Domingo, and Rufa Mae Quinto collected Php13.2 Million on its opening weekend which put the movie at no. 11 in the list of weekend gross for pinoy films. For the updated tally of current films, Dobol Trobol Hits P90,495,627.00 on its 6th week. Star Cinema’s For the First Time, on the other hand, has a 4-week total of P128,834,868.00.

“Sukob” could still be the All-Time no. 1 Pinoy movie as “A Very Special Love” registered P179,212,304.00 on its 8th week. We shall see if the Sarah-John Lloyd movie lasts until week 9 in order to beat Sukob’s record of P186.41 million. Nevertheless, “A Very Special Love” remains the no. 1 pinoy movie of 2008.

GMA Films Denies Sending Text Message About First-Day Gross of "I.T.A.L.Y."

Pinabulaanan ng GMA Films ang lumabas na balita tungkol sa isang text message na galing daw mismo sa presidente ng film company na si Ms. Annette Gozon-Abrogar tungkol sa first-day gross ng pelikulang I.T.A.L.Y (I Trust And Love You).

Ayon sa ulat, nakalagay raw sa kumakalat na text message mula kay Ms. Annette na naka-P17 million diumano ang pelikula na tinatampukan nina Jolina Magdangal, Dennis Trillo, Eugene Domingo, Mark Herras, Rhian Ramos, at Rufa Mae Quinto; at na-surprass pa nga raw nito ang kinita ng Star Cinema movie na A Very Special Love.

Ayon sa GMA Films hindi kailanman nagti-text si Ms. Annette directly sa mga manunulat. Dumadaan ang lahat ng official statements ng GMA Films President sa dalawang top men ng film arm ng Kapuso network na sina Joey Abacan at Noel Ferrer. Walang ipinadalang ganitong text message either si Joey o si Noel.

Hindi rin daw naging ugali ng GMA Films na maglabas ng first-day gross. Ang mga pinakahuling pelikula nito na My Best Friend's Girlfriend at My Monster Mom, halos one week bago inilabas ang official box-office results.

Ayon sa GMA Films, maayos ang naging box-office gross ng I.T.A.L.Y. Hindi ito ang magiging pinakamalakas na pelikula ng GMA Films ngunit hindi ito ituturing ng kumpanya na isang flop. Maganda rin daw ang word of mouth ng pelikula kung kaya't magtatagal pa ito ng ilang linggo sa sinehan.
