KC Concepcion wants to be good friends with Angel Locsin

After being caught on cam warmly greeting each other at Ruffa Gutierrez’s birthday party last June 21 at The Fort, KC Concepcion and Angel Locsin have been very vocal about their admiration for each other. Their mutual positive comments finally put rumors of rivalry between the two to rest. In fact, KC has even voiced out that she and Angel may get to be even closer friends in the future. Both 22-year olds have said that they wouldn’t mind sharing in the same projects in the future.

During the promotional pictorial for the KC Concepcion-Richard Gutierrez movie For The First Time last July 8, KC had nothing but good words to say about the Angel. “Pag nagkikita kami, isa siya sa mga babae dito sa ABS-CBN na nakakasundo ko. Kasi si Angel, walang ka-issue issue bilang tao at bilang kaibigan. Secure siya sa trabaho niya at sa sarili niya. Maganda siyang makausap and totoong tao, which I really appreciate kasi hindi lahat ng tao ganun. I admire her for her work and yung pagkatao niya. Maganda lang siyang makausap. Nakakatuwa siya, mabait,” the pretty actress explains. Even her co-star Richard couldn’t help but agree when KC asked him if he also thought that Angel was a genuinely nice person.

When asked how she feels about comments declaring her and Angel as the next queens of the network, KC couldn’t help but show her appreciation that people would think that way despite being her still short stint in the industry. “Siyempre nakakatuwang marinig yung ganun kasi kung tutuusin ilang buwan pa lang naman ako nandito. Kababalik ko pa lang [from studying in Paris],” KC admits.

This is partly why she hopes to find a new friend in Angel, who has been nothing but friendly to her ever since she formally joined showbiz via her Maalaala Mo Kaya episode and I Am KC specials early this year. “Yung mga kaibigan ko from high school and college, wala sa Pilipinas kaya naghahanap ako ng bagong kaibigan dito and if Angel's one of them, then that’s great. I’m happy to hear that and I’m here for her, to support her,” she concludes.
