ASAP Sessionistas Mentor Star Power Final Five

As the grand finals on February 20 come near, the Star Power 5 is wasting no time to prepare, learn more and focus on their common goal to become Sharon's Next Female Pop Superstar. Only one of them, however, will make it to the top and be hailed the grand champion.

This Sunday, January 30, on Star Power, after Rated K on ABS-CBN, the girls are again set to undergo rigorous coaching and training. This time, ASAP Sessionistas Duncan Ramos, Richard Poon, Sitti, Nina, Aiza Seguerra and Juris will mentor the girls.

Monica, the Charming Biritera of Leyte, still can't believe that she'll once again have a face-to-face encounter with handsome crooner Richard Poon. She said that besides Richard's innate looks and charm, the talented Sessionista can definitely share a lot to them, especially on singing techniques and performance strategies.

Krissel, the Soulful Diva of Davao added, "Super excited po talaga na ako i-mentor kami ng Sessionistas, especially ni Richard Poon. I'm very sure na we'll learn a lot. Lahat kasi sila sobrang magagaling."

Not only the Sessionistas are expected to rock this Sunday's Star Power. Acclaimed Hitmaker/songwriter Rey Valera is this week's guest judge. Will the girls make it to Rey's standards?

Meanwhile, Angeline, the Pop Belter of Manila, is overhwhelmed that the Star Power Final 5 had a lot of nationwide exposures recently. One of it is the well-attended Kapamilya Karavan in Iloilo's Dinagyang Festival last week. With the warm welcome they received from the Karavan, there's no doubt that they've made it to the hearts of the Ilonggos.

"The crowd here is so overwhelming. I still can't believe we have this much supporters. Sobrang na-appreciate ko talaga silang lahat. They're very warm and hospitable. If I could stay here longer, I will," said K-La, the R&B Sweetheart ng Canada.

If there's one thing Akiko, the Sweet and Sexy Siren of Cebu, would like to be thankful for, it's the chance she had to visit her neighbor province, Iloilo. "Kahit na from Cebu ako, marami pa din akong naiintindihan sa dialect ng Ilonggo. Kaya naman nakaka-relate ako sa kanila. Damang-dama ko yung performance ko sa Kapamilya Karavan dahil malapit sa puso ko yung mga nanood."

In the weeks to come, expect the Star Power 5 performing in some social functions. But the girls must not forget that later on, they are set to battle it out and become Sharon's Next Female Pop Superstar.

Who among Akiko (Cebu), the Sweet and Sexy Siren; K-La (Canada), the R&B Sweetheart; Monica (Leyte), the Charming Biritera; Angeline (Manila), the Pop Belter; and Krissel (Davao) the Soulful Diva, will shine the most and be hailed the grand champion?
