Ogie Diaz Sends His Apology to Charice; Charice' Camp Snub His Apology

Entertainment journalist-host-talent manager Ogie Diaz who expressed his disgusto on Charice' fashion sense and behavior towards local press, sends his apology to the Pinay international singing sensation.

Ogie said he is sorry if Charice, her family and her fans, got offended by his opinions, "Kung naka-offend ang opinion ko marapat lang na mag-sorry ako," he said.

Ogie also said that he recognizes the fact that he cannot please everybody. He asked all the fans of Charice, though, to spare his own mother from criticisms since the latter has nothing to do with his personal opinions on Twitter.

However, Ms. Raquel Pempengco, mother Charice, said the she cannot do anything if the "Chasters" get mad at him because of what he said against Charice.

You cannot blame all Charice fans, especially ‘Chasters’, to speak out what’s in their mind against you Ogie D....You cannot blame them if they won’t accept your apology because of what you did to their idol.

"Because as you said ‘Ogie Diaz,’ they have their own opinion and that’s their opinion too...," she explained.

On “E-Live” yesterday, Ogie acknowledged that he cannot do anything if Raquel Pempengco could not accept his apology because he understands where she is coming from.

Ogie made a remarks on his Twitter last January 25 that Charice’s nerdy eyeglasses “looks so ugly on her.” He also slammed Charice in his column for “acting like a foreign artist” in the Philippines to the extent of snubbing the press after her “1@11” concert at SM Mall of Asia.

Ogie's negative comments has drawn blast from Charice' die-hard fans, collectively known as the Chasters. They lashed back at Ogie and vowed to boycott all his projects.

Diaz already deleted all his tweets regarding the singer. He has more than 94,000 followers on Twitter.

Meanwhile, in her official Twitter account, Charice thanked all her supporters who backed her despite the negative things that were said about her.

:) God bless you all and love you,” she posted.
