During the presscon of "Buhawi Jack", her first big Kapamilya project after she transferred from GMA-7 last month, Jewel Mische surprised the entertainment press when she laughed at rumors that she broke up with Kapuso actor Richard Gutierrez.
“Alam n’yo po, for the past three years, I kept silent about Richard and it will remain the same right now. I’ll be quiet,” Jewel started.
When asked on her reaction about Annabelle Rama's (Richard's mom) statement that she seems to like her now that she's not together with the actor. Jewel interestingly replied, “Talaga? Nag-break? Ah, okay.”
Her answer made everyone in the hall got even more persistent in knowing the real status of her relationship with Richard.
“I don’t see any good reason to talk about us right now, lalo na he has a project with different girls, I have a project here in ABS-CBN.”
When questioned about her reaction on the rumored break-up, she denied it by saying, “Oh well, to make it more interesting, has anybody claimed me to be his girlfriend? Lalaki po ang nagke-claim, hindi babae. Whatever is happening, Richard won’t do anything without my approval, without you know, settling things with me, without talking to me, he won’t do that, he won’t be rude to do that to me. So, what I’m trying to say is, kung anuman po ’yung nangyari, kung anuman po ’yung ngayon, kaming dalawa ’yung nagkakaintindihan doon,” she said which obviously implying that she is still very much committed with Richard.
“My love life is alive. I'm very, very happy. I'm more excited now. You remember not too long ago na I said that I felt like I'm the most loved girl on the planet, until now ganun parin." ” Jewel added.
