After announcing her engagement last June to longtime boyfriend and Pieta star Ryan Agoncillo, Judy Ann Santos is all set to become a bride sometime next year. Although no wedding date has been set, the 30-year-old actress admits that she and her fiancé have been busy with the many details that need to be attended to. “Iniisa-isa namin kapag meron kaming time.
The Humingi Ka Sa Langit actress also explains why she and Ryan have not yet decided on an actual date for the wedding. Yes, decided kami. Ang dami lang talagang dapat i-consider. I’m sure sa mga nagpakasal diyan, they know what I’m talking about,” she explains.
But Judai is quick to deny rumors that they are planning to get married on the same day as her birthday. The couple, who first worked together and eventually fell in love on the set of the fantaserye Krystala back in 2005 are also trying to make possible their wish to put up a house before getting married. “Ideally, yun yung gusto naming mangyari. Even before naman ‘pag tinatanong kami, bahay muna ang uunahin talaga namin. After ng kasal, hindi naman puwedeng nakatunganga lang kami at wala kaming pupuntahan after ng wedding ‘di ba? So ayun, pinaguusapan muna namin, naghahanap kami ng lote. Magpapa-feng shui pa. It’s going to be a long, long process. But it’s an exciting process. I’m looking forward to it,” she shares.
After her contract renewal with ABS-CBN last November 6, Judai put to rest all network transfer rumors and has opted to stay a Kapamilya until 2011. After the contract signing, Judai admitted to the press that one of the new stipulations she had her lawyers add to her revised contract was a pregnancy clause. The talented actress also stressed that her husband-to-be had no influence on her decision to renew with ABS-CBN. “Whatever decisions naman we do with our own careers, it’s a separate issue actually. There are times na mag-uusap kami, pero hindi yung buyuan na, ‘Dun ka na.’ Walang ganun. Kumbaga I respect his pace when it comes to his career and he respects mine,” she adds.
