JANINA SAN MIGUEL Question and Answer Boo-Boos

Beauty contest has once again proved that you can't easily find a perfect mix-up of beauty and brains.

Say in the case of Bb. Pilipinas candidate number 15, the 17-year-old, Janina San Miguel, who happened to bring home the crown of Bb. Pilipinas 2008 - Miss World in the recently concluded Binibining Pilipinas 2008 beauty pageant.

Here is Janina’s Q&A portion on the said event:

Paolo Bediones: Janina, how are you?

Janina San Miguel: Fine.

Paolo Bediones: Alright, so you won two of the major awards - Best in Long Gown, Best in Swimsuit, do you feel any pressure right now?

Janina San Miguel: No, I don’t feel any pressure right now.

Paolo Bediones: Confident! Alright! Please choose a name of the judge.

Paolo Bediones: We have Miss Vivian Tan.

Vivian Tan: Good Evening.

Janina San Miguel: Good Evening.

Vivian Tan: The question is, what role did your family play to you as candidate to Binibining Pilinas?

Janina San Miguel: Well, my family’s role for me is so important b’coz there was the wa- they’re, they was the one who’s… very… Hahahaha… Oh I’m so sorry, Ahhmm… My pamily… My family… Oh my god.. I’m… Ok, I’m so sorry… I… I told you that I’m so confident… Eto, Ahhmm, Wait… Hahahaha, Ahmmm, Sorry guys because this was really my first pageant ever b’coz I’m only 17 years old and ahahaha I, I did not expect that I came from, I came from one of the top 10. Hmmm, so… but I said that my family is the most important persons in my life. Thank you.

Janina almost answered the question in Filipino with long pauses in between. Aside from winning the Bb. Pilipinas 2008 - Miss World title, she also won two special awards in the Bb. Pilipinas 2008 pageant - Best in Swimsuit and Best in Long Gown.

Cheers to the most hilarious and disastrous Bb. Pilipinas Coronation night in the history. The question and answer portion turned the whole Araneta Coliseum into one of those comedy bars (You watch and learn Vice Ganda. Hehehehe!).

Based from the questions prepared for them by the judges, one contestant said she would like to emulate President Macapagal Arroyo, another one would like to do Mother Theresa and the answer of Janina San Miguel, who eventually won Bb. Pilipinas World, is a classic that could go viral and surpass the interview boo boos of Miss Teen South Carolina Lauren Caitlin Upton.

GRETCHEN BARRETTO "Please Don't Ask Me" Music Video

Gretchen Barretto unveils for the first time her first music video under her "Unexpected" album in Entertaiment Live, Saturday March 8.

Gretchen's music video with Zanjoe Marudo and Jon Avila features the song "Please Don't Ask Me". Other tracks in the album are Fly Me to the Moon, A House is not a Home, Moon River, An Affair to Remember to name a few.

RAMIELE MALUBAY Sails to "American Idol" Top 12 Finals

Filipino-American Ramiele Malubay survived the last cut to sail through the Top 12 of this year's American Idol.

In the last elimination before the Top 12, Ramiele was among those who luckily made it to the next round. The four who were eliminated and did not make it to the Top 12 were Luke Menard, Kady Malloy, Asia'h Epperson, and the openly gay Danny Noriega.

The remaining six female contestants and six male contestants will go up against each other starting next week.

Ramiele will be joined in the Top 12 by fellow female contestants Kristy Lee Cook, Syesha Mercado, Amanda Overmyer, Carly Smithson, and Brooke White.

The male contestants who made it to the next round are David Archuleta, Chikezie, David Cook, Jason Castro, David Hernandez, and Michael Johns.

For her first performance in the elimination round, Ramiele sang "You Don't Have to Say You Love Me" by Dusty Springfield that drew praises from the three judges—Randy Jackson, Paula Abdul, and Simon Cowell.

Ramiele's next two performances though—"Don't Leave Me This Way" by Thelma Houston and "Against All Odds" by Phil Collins—did not impress the judges too much. But without a doubt, Ramiele has one of the best vocals in the competition, enough for America to put her through the Top 12.

The winner will win one million U.S. dollars and the honor of being the seventh American Idol.

DINGDONG DANTES is Now a Bench Body Endorser

After JC de Vera, another Kapuso hunk is now a model for the Philippine global brand Bench and he’s none other than Marian Rivera’s partner in Marimar and Dyesebel - Dingdong Dantes!

The launch for the newest model of Bench Body was held this afternoon, March 8, at the Trinoma mall. After the mini-fashion show, Dingdong’s billboard was unveiled in Guadalupe, Makati.

Prior to being the new bench body endorser, Dingdong was the image model for Hanford underwear.
