Who said actors don’t gel well or don’t delve into personal rivalries or revelries? Harry Potter actors, certainly, don’t belong to that race and they, especially the trio of Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson and Rupert Grint, love to indulge in fun and frolic.
Even as we draw in closer to the release of the final instalments of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, director David Yates has an interesting anecdote to share. He tickles our bones by narrating at length the racing competition Harry and Hermione got into while filming for the chasing sequence in the Forest.
It all happened while Emma and Daniel were running to avoid being seized by the Snatchers that they decide to outrun each other. David quips, “They run like maniacs and it’s because they are trying to out-compete each other. Dan wants to run faster than Emma. Emma wants to run faster than Dan and Rupert just wants to be anywhere to try to keep up with the pair of them”.
Emma is ecstatic as she animatedly confirms, “We’re running through the forest being chased by snatcher and it’s going to be a very exciting sequence”.
