ABS-CBN is set to make a television version of 1978 hit movie "Kambal sa Uma (Twins on the Farm)."
Kambal sa Uma was created by novelists Jim Fernandez and Ernie Santiago and first published on Pinoy Komiks. It was adapted to movie by well-acclaimed director Joey Gosiengfiao and stars Rio Locsin as Ella, Orestes Ojeda, Al Tantay, and Julie Ann Fortich. Introducing then were showbiz siblings Dennis Roldan and Isabel Rivas.
In the television version, young actress Melissa Ricks will play as Ella - a half-human half-rat character, Shaina Magdayao as Vira, and Rio Locsin, who plays Ella in the movie adaptation, now as Milagros - Ella's mother.
Other stars included in the cast are actors Bing Davao, Allan Paule, Nonie Buencamino, Valerie “Bangs” Garcia, Jordan Herrera, Matt Evans and Jason Abalos.
