Hailed as this generation’s next Superstar, Judy Ann Santos makes her TV series comeback in Philippine network television’s first ever "nurserye," titled Humingi Ako Sa Langit. During the ABS-CBN trade launch held last August 21 at the Rockwell Tent in Makati City, the actress shared that for this project, where she plays a strong-willed nurse who undergoes many challenges both here and abroad, she was aiming for a higher purpose than just to entertain. "Even before we started, hindi lang storya yung ibabato naming sa mga viewers, it has to be true. Kasi siyempre, we want them to learn, dapat informative. Gusto naming hindi lang siya soap na aabangan dahil sa storya, kundi dahil informative din siya," she shares.In this new series, she is paired once again with her Ysabella co-star Derek Ramsay, while newcomer Will Devaughn will play her childhood sweetheart. When asked why she will have to choose between two hunky actors instead of her real-life fiancé Ryan Agoncillo (who is abroad currently shooting the Philippines version of Fear Factor), the 30-year-old actress gamely answered,"Humiling kasi ako sa langit ng mga lalaking matipuno! (laughs)" After proving how strong their on-screen chemistry is, Judai says there is still no chance that Ryan will ever get jealous of Derek. "Matatanda na kami para sa mga ganyang selosan. Kumbaga pareho na kaming kampante at happy sa aming mga relasyon," she states.
Also noticeable during the event was Judai’s engagement ring, which led to questions about her upcoming wedding plans with Ryan. The actress says that although there are no set plans yet, they are definitely preparing for their big day. "Pinag-iipunan pa namin. Para naman maging maganda yung wedding. It’s going to be a very private and solemn ceremony. Kaya nga siya nasa Argentina ngayon. Sakripisyo muna para maging maganda future namin. Ipon muna," she explains.
