WILLIE REVILLAME Declared Annulled with Liz Almoro

Willie Revillame could not clearly describe how he feels about the annulment of his marriage with Liz Almoro.

Last Tuesday, February 5, presiding judge Elsa de Guzman of the Regional Trial Court Branch 89 of Quezon City released the decision on the annulment case filed by Floralice "Liz" Almoro. The court declared the marriage of Willie and Liz null and void on grounds of psychological incapacity on both parties.

In a taped interview with The Buzz aired yesterday, February 10, Willie's lawyer, Atty. Dexter Lacuanan, said: "Gusto ko lang din po ikumpirma that was on February 5, there was already a promulgation from the court presided by Judge Elsa de Guzman. The petition filed by Liz Almoro for the annulment of their marriage or the marriage of Liz Almoro with Mr. Willie Revillame had already been granted.

"In other words, annulled na yung kanilang kasal and I would like to say that the declaration is that marriage is considered void in the very beginning on grounds of psychological incapacity on both parties."

Willie and Liz first got married in a civil rites in Lipa City, Batangas on March 9, 2005, which was officiated by then Lipa City Mayor Vilma Santos. A few months after, the two had a church wedding at the Santuario de San Antonio Parish, Forbes Park, Makati City on June 7, 2005.

MIXED EMOTIONS. "Siyempre, mixed emotions din ako, e," said Willie in an exclusive interview on The Buzz aired yesterday, February 10, about the court's decision on the annulment case filed by his former wife.

But ganun talaga ang buhay.

Contradicting the headline of news reports last Tuesday, February 5, Atty. Lacuanan explained that his client should not be labeled as a "free" person.

On his part, Willie said that he never expected that his former wife would request an annulment of their marriage. He said, "Hindi ko naman ine-expect yung...

Willie admitted that he got disappointed when he learned that Liz has requested for an annulment of their marriage. Nevertheless, he respected her move and let the court decide on it.

He said, "It's her decision, hanggang ngayon, yun ang hinihingi niya, naibigay na sa kanya.

However, Willie is still hoping that he would still have a communication with Liz because of their two-year-old child.

In connection with their son Juan Emmanuel, or Juamme, Willie promised that he would give all the support that his child would need in the future. "Nandito ako at ama ako niyan.

Meanwhile, Atty. Lacuanan indirectly answered The Buzz's question about the Willie's responsibility to his kid.

Atty. Lacuanan vaguely answered, "The major thrust the litigation that transpired between the parties is one of the declaration of nullity. Unfortunately, some of the agreements that we have agreed upon are still bound by the rules of confidentiality. This is done to protect also the child."

DISSOLVED CASE. Aside from the annulment case, Liz also filed a criminal case against her former husband for allegedly violating the Anti-Violence Against Women and Their Children Act of 2004.

On the said case, Liz claimed that, "she felt emotionally and psychologically abused when [Willie] denied her physical intimacy." Liz also had witnesses about Willie's alleged infidelity and womanizing.

However, the court favored the actor-host and dismissed the criminal case filed against him.

Atty. Lacuanan explained, "The annotation of violence against Willie allegedly committed against Liz and the child. So, ang court po, in its ultimate disposition of the case, affirmed the recommendation of the Department of Justice and also dismissed this criminal case."
On different note, Liz expressed her gratitude, through her lawyer Atty. Katrina Legarda, to people who have supported her in this case. Liz is currently busy finishing her thesis for her masters degree that is supposed to end this coming March.
